TV Series and Episodic Animation Production
TV Series & Episodic
Myth Studio produces TV series animation, episodic content, and multi-part campaigns for streaming platforms and broadcasters. From pilots to full series, character design to title sequences.
Myth Studio
A Modern Fairytale
Some stories don't fit in thirty seconds. They need room to breathe, characters that grow across episodes, and worlds that reward return visits. That's where we come in.
Myth Studio designs and produces animation for TV series, episodic content, streaming platforms, and multi-part branded campaigns. Our work includes A Modern Fairytale and projects for Sky and ITV. From pilots to full series production, character design to title sequences, we bring the same craft and creative direction to long-form work that we bring to everything else.
What We Do
We handle the full pipeline. Series development and creative direction. Character design and world-building. Storyboarding across arcs, not just individual scenes. Episode-by-episode production with a consistency of quality that doesn't dip at episode four because everyone's tired.
Our studio has built robust internal workflows specifically for the demands of episodic production, where turnaround is tight, continuity matters, and you need a team that can hold a visual language together across dozens of scenes without losing the spark that made it interesting in the first place.
We work in 2D, 3D, and mixed media, and we're comfortable moving between styles depending on what a series needs. Hand-drawn character animation for a children's show. Bold motion design for a factual series. A hybrid 2D/3D approach for something with a bigger visual ambition. The technique always follows the story.

How We Approach It
Every series starts with a creative conversation. We want to understand the tone, the audience, the world you're building, and where the visual identity needs to land. From there, we develop style frames, character sheets, environment designs, and motion tests that give everyone involved a clear picture of what the series will look and feel like before a single episode goes into production.
Once the visual language is locked, we build a production framework around it. Motion guidelines, asset libraries, and a clear pipeline that means we can scale up across episodes without compromising on craft. We've learned (sometimes the hard way) that the unglamorous production infrastructure is what makes the glamorous creative work possible at scale.
For branded content series, we take a similar approach but with an added layer of strategic thinking. How does each episode serve the wider campaign? How do you maintain audience engagement across a run of content? How do you build a world that people want to come back to, rather than one they watch once and forget?

Title Sequences & Broadcast
We've created title sequences for broadcasters including ITV and Sky Studios. Our ITV Euro 2024 opening titles were broadcast to over 10 million viewers on opening night and earned praise from the Guardian alongside widespread positive reception across social media.
For Sky Studios' film Grow, we designed a 2D silhouette title sequence inspired by Victorian puppet theatre, William Morris and Saul Bass, crafting ornate botanical borders that grew and shifted with the narrative.
Title sequences sit in a particular sweet spot for us. They're short-form in duration but long-form in ambition. They need to set the tone for an entire series or film in a matter of seconds, which means every frame has to earn its place.

Who We Work With
We partner with production companies, broadcasters, streaming platforms, and agencies who need an animation studio that can think in series, not just singles. Whether you're developing a pilot, producing a full run, or creating a multi-part branded campaign, we'd love to talk about it.
Our recent awards include the Cannes Black Dolphin for Best Animation, Archiboo 2024, and Learning on Screen 2024. Our work has been featured on ITV, Bloomberg TV, at Glastonbury Festival, and on Motionographer.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to produce an animated TV series?
It depends on the number of episodes, their length, and the complexity of the animation style. A pilot or single episode might take 8 to 12 weeks. A full series run requires a longer production schedule, but our pipeline is built to handle episodic delivery efficiently. We'll map out a realistic timeline during the development phase.
How much does animated series production cost?
Costs vary significantly based on the number of episodes, animation style, character complexity, and whether we're handling development from scratch or working from an existing bible. We'll scope the project in detail before any commitment. Get in touch with your brief.
Can you produce animation for streaming platforms?
We deliver in all standard broadcast and streaming formats, and we handle social cutdowns and promotional assets from the same production, so your marketing team has content ready from day one.
Do you develop original IP?
We do. A Modern Fairytale is an example of original content developed and produced entirely in-house. We're actively developing original IP under Myth Productions and are open to co-development partnerships with production companies and commissioners.
What animation styles can you produce for TV?
We work across 2D (hand-drawn, vector, cel), 3D (stylised, CGI), and mixed media. The style is always determined by what serves the story and the audience best. We'll recommend an approach based on the creative brief, the target demographic, and the budget.
How do you maintain visual consistency across episodes?
We create comprehensive style guides, motion guidelines, and asset libraries during development. These become the production bible that every episode is built from. We also have internal QA processes to catch inconsistencies before they reach the client.
Can you create a pilot to help us pitch to commissioners?
We have. We've helped clients develop pitch materials including sizzle reels, pilot episodes, character sheets, and world-building documents designed to get buy-in from commissioners and investors.
Do you produce title sequences for TV series?
Yes. We have a dedicated title sequences offering, with credits including the ITV Euro 2024 opening titles and the Grow title sequence for Sky Studios. We can produce the title sequence alongside the series, or as a standalone commission.
Can you produce animation for children's TV?
We can. Our team has experience with character-driven, age-appropriate content, and we understand the particular requirements around pacing, colour, and tone that children's content demands. We're happy to work within broadcaster guidelines and regulatory frameworks.
What if we already have a series bible or existing assets?
That's a great starting point. We can work from existing character designs, style guides, or narrative bibles and build the production around what's already been established. If the existing assets need refinement or extension, we can handle that too.
Do you work with international production companies?
Yes. While our studio is based in London, we work with production companies, broadcasters, and agencies globally. Our production process is set up for remote collaboration with regular video calls, shared review tools, and clear milestone sign-offs.
Can you produce branded content series?
A growing part of our work is multi-episode branded content designed to build audiences over time rather than grab attention once. We bring the same narrative thinking and production quality to branded series that we bring to broadcast work.
How involved can we be during production?
As involved as you like. We build regular review points into the production schedule, and you'll see work at every key milestone: character designs, storyboards, animatics, animation, and sound. If you prefer a more hands-off approach, that works too.
What makes Myth different from other animation studios for TV work?
Three things stand out. First, we're illustrators and animators by background, so the design quality runs deep. Second, we've built proper episodic production infrastructure, not just a team that can do one-offs. Third, we care about the creative direction of the work. We don't just execute. We help shape the vision.
