A Space For... , Social Security Scotland
TV Advert
We were commissioned to create a national TV advert for Social Security Scotland, the executive agency of the Scottish Government responsible for delivering vital financial support across the country. The brief was simple, but significant: connect with people who may be struggling, and guide them toward the help that's there for them.

From the outset, we knew the tone had to feel human. Open. Reassuring. This wasn't about systems or processes - it was about people.
We built the film around a handcrafted diorama world, with each room forming part of the Social Security Scotland logo itself. Within this miniature structure, a single coin drops and travels from space to space, gently connecting stories as it rolls. The journey becomes a visual thread - a reminder that support links lives together.
Every character was placed in a moment that felt recognisable: everyday challenges, treated with dignity. To balance realism with warmth, we leaned into a stop-motion, toy-like aesthetic. Though crafted in Cinema 4D, the dioramas were designed to feel handmade, textured and full of care. Imperfect in the right ways.
As with all our work, the aim was to bring personality and heart to the frame. By pairing considered design with thoughtful storytelling, we created a piece that feels hopeful without being sentimental - and clear without losing warmth.
Because when the message matters this much, how it feels matters just as much as what it says.
