Mota-Engil, one of the largest Portuguese construction firms, launched a new brand identity, MEXT, and wanted an animated video to go alongside the launch. We were aproached by BORN, who had created the re-brand, with an idea for the full animation showing the MEXT brand identity and values.
Whilst the new brand colours had been established, there was no existing uses of illustration. After BORN supplied us with a script, we created a paired-back illustration style to fit the animation.
For this animation, we focused on using a simple illustration style, but with interesting transitions. Using a mixture of simple transitions, frame-by-frame sequences and character animations, we put together an animation all stakeholders were happy with.
