We find that mixing 2D techniques into our cinematic 3d animations can have a lovely effect, and we consider it to be one of our specialities.

Faux Stop Motion

We created an animated short comedy using 'play-doh' or clay-like materials. By dropping the framerate to 12 FPS, the animation has a stop-motion like feel. Fully CGI, we strive to re-create the charm of stop-motion animation but with the magic and production capability of 3D/CGI.

Sci-Fi Title Sequence

We created a title sequence animation in order to test out some new AI powered workflows. The title sequence ended up having the feel of a near-future Sci-Fi dystopia. At Myth, we believe in the power of AI to assist the human creative, not replace them. This film provides a great example of how AI can be used in this way, from providing inspiration and references, to textures and assets.

Motion Guidelines for Every Project

During every animation project, we will test, develop and establish a set of motion principles that make up the backbone of the project. Once the animation is complete, we will collate these findings into a brand motion playbook, allowing anyone to replicate the style. This makes future projects cheaper, easier and more consistent.
