3D Animation Studio in London

We create stylised 3D animation for brands, agencies, and creators who want more than just shiny renders. Our 3D work is art-directed, stylised, and designed to feel handcrafted, using a variety of techniques.

Artistic and Stylised 3D

Artistic and Stylised 3D

We focus on artistic 3D with character, not generic renders. Our work has a visual identity of its own: strong shapes, expressive motion, and art direction that makes each project distinctive. We're illustrators and designers first, and that sensibility runs through everything we produce in 3D.

Bespoke Visual Styles

Bespoke Visual Styles

We specialise in creating unique artistic styles in 3D that stand out. We've produced faux stop motion, paper-craft CGI, painterly 3D, and stylised architectural work. Every project gets its own visual identity, crafted to reflect your brand and capture attention.

Character-Driven 3D Animation

How We Work

How a 3D Animation Project Works

3D production involves more stages than flat animation, so visibility matters even more. We share progress at every phase, from early blockouts through to final renders, so you always know where things stand.

01

Discovery & Brief

Goals, audience, references, and must-haves. We clarify scope, timeline, and budget before any creative work begins.

02

Concept & Design

Script, visual treatment, and styleframes. We lock the creative direction here so there are no surprises down the line.

03

Storyboards & Animatic

We lock pacing, camera moves, and key transitions. You feel the rhythm of the piece before we commit to full production.

04

3D Production

Modelling, texturing, rigging, animation, and lighting. This is where your world comes alive. We share work-in-progress at regular checkpoints.

05

Render & Post

Compositing, grading, sound design, and music for a cinematic finish. We work with composers and sound designers we trust.

06

Delivery & Formats

Final assets in all formats for web, social, events, or broadcast. We also provide stills, loops, and cutdowns for repurposing across channels.

Frequently Asked Questions About 3D Animation

It depends on length, complexity, and style. A 15-second product render sits at a very different price point to a 2-minute narrative 3D film with character animation. We scope every project based on runtime, detail level, and timeline, and we'll give you a clear picture of costs upfront. Share your brief and we'll give you a clear, itemised quote.

Short, simple pieces can take a few weeks. Larger, more detailed films usually take 6 to 12 weeks depending on complexity, number of assets, and the approval process. 3D production has more stages than 2D (modelling, texturing, rigging, lighting, rendering), so the timeline reflects that.

2D animation works in two dimensions with illustrated frames. It tends to feel more graphic, stylised, and illustrative. 3D animation builds objects and characters in a virtual three-dimensional space, allowing for camera movement, realistic lighting, and depth. Neither is inherently better. The right choice depends on your story, your audience, and your brand. We work across both and can advise on what suits your project.

Yes. We can either translate your existing brand guidelines into a stylised 3D treatment or develop a new 3D visual language that feels like a natural extension of your identity. We'll reference your existing assets, colours, and design principles throughout.

Once we've built your 3D assets (characters, products, environments), they can be reused and repurposed for stills, loops, cutdowns, social content, print, OOH, and more. This makes 3D a smart long-term investment, as the initial build pays off across multiple uses.

We often act as a specialist 3D animation partner, plugging into existing creative teams, workflows, and pitches. We're comfortable working within agency creative direction and delivering to their timelines.

We primarily work with Cinema 4D and Octane Render, alongside a range of supporting tools for texturing, compositing, and post-production. We also use AI-assisted workflows for tasks like photo-to-model conversion, which lets us work more efficiently without sacrificing quality.

Yes, this is actually one of our specialities. Faux stop motion uses 3D tools to replicate the tactile, handmade feel of real stop motion animation, but with the flexibility and control that 3D offers. It's a great way to get that handcrafted look without the production overhead of physical stop motion. We've written about this in more detail in our article on how to faux a stop motion animation.

We do. Whether you need to showcase a physical product in photorealistic detail or present a prototype in a more stylised way, our 3D team can build, light, texture, and animate it. Product visualisation is particularly useful for e-commerce, investor decks, and launch campaigns.

Absolutely. Some of our favourite projects blend 2D and 3D techniques. The ITV Euro 2024 titles combined 3D/CGI environments with 2D character animations and bespoke paper textures. Mixing techniques often produces something more distinctive than either approach alone.

We use AI as a production tool where it adds genuine value, particularly for tasks like generating reference models from photos, creating texture variations, and speeding up early concepting. But the creative direction, art direction, modelling, and animation are always human-led. AI helps us work more efficiently. It doesn't replace the craft.

3D animation is particularly effective for product-led brands, architecture and property, tech and SaaS, automotive, FMCG, and entertainment. Any sector where showing something in three dimensions makes it easier to understand or more compelling to watch.

Yes. We create 3D content for large-format screens, projections, and immersive installations. We deliver in whatever resolution and format the venue requires, and we're experienced with the particular demands of event content (looping, timing, scale).

Most 3D studios lead with technology. We lead with art direction. Our team comes from an illustration and design background, which means we think about composition, colour, and storytelling before we think about render engines. That's why our 3D work tends to have more personality than the typical photorealistic product spin. We also mix techniques freely, combining 2D and 3D in ways that make each project feel like it couldn't have been made anywhere else.
